Visalia Pride Lions donates $1000 worth of school supplies to support foster youth in Tulare County, California

Visalia Pride Lions with a grant from the California Lions Foundation, were able to purchase $1000 worth of school supplies to support foster youth in Tulare County.  Golden State Family Services, a Foster Family Association that services Tulare, Fresno and Madera counties provides backpacks and school supplies to kids every year so that they are equipped to participate in their school year.

Visalia Pride Lions connected with CLF as a participant in the school supply grant program.  This program will fill a big need in these children's lives.  Once the purchases were made and consolidated, they completed a multi-club service project to assemble over 60 back packs for the kids as they start their next school year.

Visalia Pride’s Lion Kim Hruby organized the project bringing together members from the Visalia Leo Club, Visalia Pride Lions, Visalia Sunset Lions, and Tulare Host Lions representing the Central Region Zone 1 and 2 of District 4-A2.
