Placerville Lions Club donates 80 cases of water to the Upper Room Dining Hall

The Placerville Lions Club with a grant from CLF donated 80 cases of Water, protein bars and fruit cups to the Upper Room Dining Hall helping thousands of people in need.

The Upper Room Dining Hall in Placerville, CA has been providing free meals and compassionate care to families, seniors, veterans, and any who need a meal.  Before Covid-19 they averaged 1200 people served weekly.  So far in 2021 they are nearly doubling this number serving over 2200 meals each week.  In February, 8,986 people received meals, averaging 321 meals per day. 

A total of 80 cases of bottled water was delivered to Upper Room Dining Hall, plus needed granola/protein bars and single serve fruit cups between February 15 and March 5.  This was enough water to be paired with 3,840 meals served in about 12 days.
